More than 200 unique photographs were displayed at the exhibition "Thu Vọng Nguyet" at Thai Hoc court - Temple of Literature attracted foreign tourists on the first day of exhibition on November 03.

The image of an ancient Temple of Literature dressed up a "new shirt" full of vitality as a multi-color harmony mixture between traditional and modern times has made many visitors feel surprised and enjoy.

Observing the photos "The river of the Light", Ms. Anne Capawell, 58, a British citizen, said: "The Temple of Literature is one of the first destinations in my journey to explore Hanoi. I have studied and researched this place on the Internet and thought it was a very dignified place, and I was surprised to see these gorgeous photos, they are very different from what I expected. I wished I had come to Vietnam earlier to attend this beautiful event.".

The photos at the exhibition were selected by the organizers of the event Thu Vong Nguyet (Enjoy the Moon in Autumn) selected in more than 10,000 photos with the criteria of capturing the most expensive moments to paint a new but strange Temple of Literature; The harmony between tradition and modernity is reflected in the works such as: "Lantern night, Sparkling Khue Van Cac, The ancient voice, The smiling Master ...". Many of these pictures have strongly impressed international visitors.

"I am particularly interested in photographs of "Toy figurine" and "Lanterns" because they are so beautiful, so different, they are the things that I've never seen anywhere in the world, this is fun with me. The pictures are your traditional culture"- said Ms. Laurie Indenbaum (from USA).

Even with visitors from Asian countries which also welcome the Mid-Autumn Festival as Vietnam, pictures of the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival also make them feel interesting.

"In Japan, we also have Mid-Autumn Festival, but it is an opportunity for us to thank god for bringing good harvests. It's amazing to know about your country, Autumn is also a Festival for children." - Mr. Hitoshi Yamada (a Japanese visitor) said.

Knowing that the culture event Thu Vong Nguyet is only held for 3 days of October, Mr. Paulo Fasone (Italian) expressed his regret: "I have been in Hanoi for more than 4 months and it's a pity that I missed this culture event. I hope this event will be held in the autumn of next year and I will definitely come back to attend the Mid-autumn Festival at the Temple of literature like this."

Particularly, with Mr. David and Mrs. Heather Clare (Australian), the photographs in this exhibition Thu Vong Nguyet has become an inspiration to them. "We will come back to Vietnam again to explore other festivals."

Thu Vong Nguyet photo exhibition held from November 03 has attracted thousands of tourists visiting each day. This activity is not only the purpose of "refreshing" and "animating" Temple of Literature monument to evoke the respect and preserve the elite tradition of ancestors, but also to attract tourists, thus spreading photo of Temple of Literature to domestic and foreign visitors in a natural way.
